India won the toss and elected to bat first, putting up a competitive total of **175 for 7 in 20 overs**. The innings was anchored by a breathtaking **77 off 40 balls from opener Ishan Kishan**, whose aggressive batting set the tone and lifted India on a challenging, slow wicket. Despite some resistance in the middle overs, India managed to post a score that proved too steep for their rivals. In reply, Pakistan’s batting lineup crumbled early, with **Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya striking quickly** to reduce them to 13-3 within the opening two overs. Pakistan never recovered from the early setbacks and were eventually bowled out for **114 runs in 18 overs**, with only a handful of players offering brief resistance. The comprehensive bowling effort ensured that India completely controlled the run chase. This dominant win not only extended India’s impressive World Cup head-to-head record against Pakistan but also reinforced their credentials as tournament favorites. As India looks forward to the Super 8s, Pakistan must now regroup and target their remaining matches to stay in contention.
